About Half Past Youth

Half Past Youth (HPY) is a pop punk band from Phoenix, Arizona, formed in August 2025 by bassist Tim Walker and vocalist Alex Johnston. Guitarist Blake Devoe and drummer Thaddeus Hornung complete the lineup, and between the four of them, the band carries years of experience on the road in touring, production, and management.

In May 2026, the band recorded their first three songs with ZK Productions. Their debut single "Love Letter" arrives September 4, 2026, with a music video directed by Toby Canning of Fillm.co (Impending Doom, BloodlinesTX, Holy War, Sleeping Giant).

Half Past Youth writes the music they grew up on. The bands that defined that era have grown up too, and something got lost along the way. HPY wants to bring it back: a sound the next generation can claim as their own, and one that gives everyone who was there the first time around something new that still feels like home.
